"Moon Maiden"

This is the fourth piece of hours series, a young woman at bedtime with the moon behind her.

When we completed the face to be added to the panel, the pupils were open and Jeanne felt that she had a vacant look, so we filled in the centers of the eyes, which gives her a very thoughtful look.

Inspired by a drawing for the February 1899 issue of LeMois litt'eraire et pittoresque by illustrator Alphonse Mucha.
